Or gifties for foodies, whichever you prefer!
Desperate for last-minute gift ideas? Fear not! I thought this "Un-Gift Guide 2008" round-up from The Kitchn was very helpful, especially "Gifts from The Kitchen" section, which has lots of recipes for gifts you can make.
I think I'm going to try the salt caramels and the peppermint patties. Oh! And definitely the Oreo truffles, which I've been meaning to make for ages. I think I'll make some regular ones, plus a batch with Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe-Joe's (peppermint filling and bits of candy canes -- my husband LOVES them).

Yum!
Oh I have forgotten about these scrumptious delights! We discovered them last year and loved them. Then we moved to Tulsa and alas, no TJ's here. It's really sad for us since we pretty much shopped 90% of our weekly groceries at TJ's for 4 years. We were so used to their products that when we moved here I was literally at a loss for a few weeks. Thank goodness for Target's Archer Farms. Close, but not quite TJ's.

Oh and those fleur de sel caramels are heavenly! The box them come in is super cute too! I used it afterwards to store ribbons for gift wrapping. SO Martha!
If you want to try to make your own, here's an awesome recipe from my pal's blog:
