I, like most women, have a love-hate relationship with my hair. Actually, not so much my actual hair, more the process behind having hair. I am LAZY when it comes to my hair. Until very recently, I would go a year or more between haircuts. I use a hair dryer less than ten times a year. I switch shampoos constantly. I use product in a completely ridiculous manner: i.e. I have no clue what I'm doing. I got highlights right before our wedding because I thought that's what adult women with hair did. You should have heard me trying to schedule that appointment over the phone, I literally had no idea what I wanted.
When I do get my hair cut, I usually sit down and ask my stylist how she thinks I should get my hair cut. She's the professional, right? There's usually a lot of shrugging - I am CLUELESS. I'm sure I drive her crazy.
I am incredibly low-maintenance. I HATE BLOW DRYING MY HAIR. So, I don't do it. I ofen will shower at night and go to bed with wet hair. I will leave the house with wet hair. I did this once, in the dead of winter, when I was living in New York and MY HAIR FROZE. Stylish hair people everywhere are shuddering right now.
But, probably due to my low-maintenance approach - my hair is really, really good to me. It's well-behaved, it does what it's told when styled. It's shiny. I don't really have any hair "problems." I don't get split ends. My hair isn't dry or oily. I often use smoothing or anti-frizz products, but mainly in attempt to find something that will essentially do my hair for me.
You can imagine my excitement when I came across this nighttime treatment, after getting my hair done last week. Something you put in your hair before you go to bed? Wake up with perfectly coiffed hair? I think I may have squealed in delight.
My hair has a lot of body and natural curl in it, which is great when properly styled - but will often cause me to just want to pull it up off my face because I feel like my hair is taking over - it gets very full. I have some of the other "Liss Ultime" products that I use, for sort of taming purposes, and this is similar.
I used it last night for the first time and I'm very pleased. Obviously it's not exactly styling my hair for me, but I really do feel like it make a difference, especially from a "sleekness" perspective. I put it in last night, after I had taken a shower, and applied to my damp hair. This morning I put a little extra product in to tame flyaways, but other than that and some brushing, I was good to go.
A product that gives me extra time in the morning? Don't mind if I do.
i also do the exact same things with my hair, only it's not so curly but more wavy. it is usually messy and I love it. except when i have to look presentable. then i heat up the flat iron and make it stick straight. ta da! i actually like going to bed with damp hair. it seems to make it less frizzy and more wavy. i'll have to give liss ultime nuit a try. thanks for the insight.
