This post is a little outside my normal subject area, but a friend just passed along these tips and I had to share. Especially with approaching wintry weather, I think this advice will definitely come in handy.

These great tips are originally from Woman's World, but I can't find the article online (they don't seem to post their content on their site):

• Keep your headlights clear with car wax
• Ice-proof your windows with vinegar
• Prevent car doors from freezing shut with cooking spray
• Fog-proof your windshield with shaving cream
• Squeak-proof your wipers with rubbing alcohol
• De-ice your lock in seconds with hand sanitizer
• Get unstuck from the snow with your floor mat

Do you ever have those mornings when you just CANNOT, for the life of you, wake up? Oof. I was up earlier than usual this morning, which typically helps in the alertness department ... but today is a struggle for some reason.

Pass the caffeine, please.

So I can't really remember actually ever eating a fresh passion fruit before, but seeing as they are native to Brazil, I probably tried one while I was there a few years ago -- since I am so partial to the fruit ya know ;o)

But on a whim, I bought this new Yoplait Passion Fruit yogurt -- it's surprisingly yummy! Usually, I'm not a big fan of the more "exotic" flavors, so this was a pleasant surprise. Almost a peach-like undertone -- but not quite. The yogurt itself has an interesting yellow-ish tinge -- but the flavor is really nice. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Yay for fall!

Finally the crisp, cool weather has arrived! I thought it would never come. I have so much more energy now, and the dogs are super-excited to go on their daily walks.

From this very bad photo, Norman wishes you a happy fall and hopes you're enjoying your October weather. Presumably Norman is so off-centered in this shot because we were laughing too hard to properly operate the camera:

The Norm will be accompanying us to Rombach's this weekend (appropriately attired, of course), where we will purchase entirely too many pumpkins, gourds and other delightful seasonal items.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE fall? Why on EARTH are we getting married in June?! ;o)
